MarketReach conducted a series of exhaustive research projects over 18 months. These really got under the skin of why mail – catalogues, mail packs and direct marketing in general – is so effective.

Their methodologies included the latest neuroscience techniques and discovered that mail has a profound, primeval and direct impact on the brain.

For example:

  • Mail improves ROI. When mail was included in a multi-media plan, the ROI increased by 12%.
  • Mail enhances both sales and acquisition. Campaigns including mail were 27% more likely to deliver top ranking sales performance, and 40% more likely to deliver top-ranking acquisition levels, than campaigns that didn’t.

What’s more:

Mail drives people online – 92% are driven to online or digital activity and 87% are influenced to make online purchases. And mobile only makes this process easier.
